"I would highly recommend Ellis for pet sitting. I recently contacted her about a house stay pet sit for my three rescue cats whilst I was travelling. Ellis visited me to discuss this and immediately put me at ease. She has a gentle and caring personality, showed a genuine interest in my cats, asked very relevant questions about their personalities and routines, even asking if they had any "quirks" she should be aware of. One of my cats is VERY nervous of strangers, due to bad abuse as a kitten, resulting in her having to have a leg amputated. I told Ellis this cat would hide at first and was about to say just leave her to come out in her own time as that is best for her, but Ellis immediately suggested this, showing she could appreciate the best way to handle a scared and traumatised pet.
I booked Ellis for the sit and my nervous cat was interacting with Ellis within less than 24 hours, and then was happy to play with her and slept on the bed with Ellis afterwards so clearly bonded with Ellis, demonstrating her affinity with animals. Throughout her stay Ellis was in touch regularly, sending me pictures, videos and updates.
At no point throughout the period Ellis was caring for my cats did I have any concerns about them, or Ellis being in my home.
It is very clear that Ellis has a natural love of animals, and this is reflected in the affinity with them she shows, and how she bonded with my cats in such a short time. She also talked to me about my cats' individual and very different personalities, clearly showing an ability to know what worked best for each individual cat. When I returned I had three very happy cats and my house was spotless. Ellis had respected the space, cleaned up after herself and even washed the linens she had used, showing her responsible nature.
Ellis offers drop in visits, pet sitting in your home and dog walking and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any of these services."
